Animal Search
This game was made for the KeysToTheJam 2021 game jam in 2 1/2 days by me alone. The theme of the jam was Unique Use of the Keyboard. I also went for the bonus theme of Education.
The objective of the game is to rescue animals by typing which direction you want to go, to reach the destination on your map. It features:
- 10 Levels
- 2 Habitats
- Ten animals
- Educational cards about animals

Assets are very nice (music & pixel arts), and create an atmosphere. Good interpretation of both themes (keyboard & education). The game may need more gameplay variations (other than left, right, dodge & open). Good job!
Thank you for the feedback, initially I wanted the lion to swing a couple of times and you would have to type something based on which direction the paw was coming from, but I didn't have time.
This game is awesome! Quite a good blend between the educational theme and the word game, well done. However, at the start, it was difficult to figure out what exactly we need to do as the letters showing was seeming to be buttons but then when everything clarified, the game was a charm to play.
I decided to add text in Level 1 that says "Type your actions!" That should help people understand. Thank you for the advice!
Yeah, that might make more sense!
